| 1. Making Inner
and Outer Rims of a Piano |
| Veneer boards made
from Nyatoh and Hard Maple are piled at a
ratio of 5:1 to form the inner and outer rims,
where the boards are stacked in the order
of vertical and horizontal wood grains. The
inner rim becomes the basis of a piano, and
the outer rim becomes the key element in determining
its beauty. |

| 4. Attaching a Sound
Board |
| The soundboard
and sound pole are attached to the rim. Since
the soundboard plays the most critical part
in creating beautiful notes, SAMICK opts for
the superbly light and resilient Spruce soundboard. |

 |
| 5. Finish |
| Once the basic body
of a piano is completed, the first coat of
paint is applied. After the color has been
applied and polished, the piano will undergo
numerous additional painting and polishing
processes. |
